Prescriptions

Prescrioptions and prescription refills are avialable only after an examination and careful consideration. We recommend that you bring containers of all your current medications with you when you come for an appointment. This will help eliminate confusion that might arise in cases where you may be receiving medication from more than one physician. In addition, always keep a list of current medications with exact name, dosage, frequency and duration of use.

When you refill: If you are an established patient and are not overdue for an appointment, please contact your pharmacy directly to request your refill. Your pharmacy will then contact our office for authorization. Please allow 48 to 72 hours to approve a refill request. We recommend that you call your pharmacy before going to pick up your prescriptions, to make certain they have received/filled the prescription. Your insurance plan may allow 90 day mail-in prescriptions for chronic medications. Remember that these mail-in prescrioptions may take two to three weeks to be filled, so plan accordingly!
If you have an HMO type of insurane plan, you must change your PCP and your insurance ID card print date must be on the effective date or later for the insurance plan listed above.
